Character profiles for TF: MirrorVerse.

Ace
(created by Lex)

Soft spoken and friendly, Ace's gentle demeanour belies a merciless streak that comes out most vividly through his writing. A keen student of politics and philosophy, he uses his skill with words as a weapon, fearlessly harpooning whatever injustice attracts his attention with a well-honed wit, attacking both sides in the war. This hasn't earned him many friends among the Autobots (to say nothing of the Decepticons) and currently Ace has been forced to flee Cybertron for his own safety. Although he isn't very young, his unfamiliarity with the universe outside of Cybertron and his raw idealism often makes him appear that way. A mild mannered philanthropist at heart, and carries only a light laser pistol for protection.

Arblus

Krannix's younger friend and co-worker. Was born while Lithone was on its downward spiral, so he never got to see what a peaceful world was like. But because of this, he was raised to be street smart, and almost nothing rattles him. Once, as he was walking down the street, a building nearby went up in a violent explosion-he didn't even blink and just kept walking. Arblus has one trait that does seem rather unusual for a modern Lithonian . . . he actually cares about someone besides himself! He cares a lot about his friends, and tries to cheer up the sullen, brokenhearted Krannix on a regular basis.

Bandit
(created by Tao)

Your credits, your energon, your darkest secrets, your free will... to Bandit, these are all just things to be stolen. As the Underlord of the Iacon Thieves’ Guild, he tries to have his fingers in every illicit activity on Cybertron. Intelligent, charming, engaging, and completely ruthless, the only person Bandit truly cares about is himself, and the only goal that matters to him is the attainment of more and more power for his favorite person. The cunning Neutral walks the line in the war, setting enemies and allies against each other, working with both Autobots and Decepticons as necessary for credits and influence. An expert manipulator, he makes up for his lack of physical strength with formidable telepathic abilities– abilities that he goes to great lengths to keep secret. Not quite satisfied with being Cybertron’s most powerful crimelord, Bandit is always looking for the next big score...

Bluestreak
(Profile post-"Shards in the Soul" Click here for Bluestreak's original profile.)

Finding out that your entire reason for living is a lie tends to do strange things to Mechanisms. After realizing that he'd been betrayed by the Autobots, Bluestreak chose to strike out on his own path as a renegade Transformer, a Neutral with no faction allegiance or symbol. He survived mostly by scrounging battle sites for parts and fuel, barely able to keep himself functional. Bluestreak has a deep and abiding hate for most of his ex-Autobot comrades, and will not hesitate to attack them if he can do it without causing damage to himself. However, he will never allow himself to join the Decepticons since he knows they aren't ruthless enough to use the force Bluestreak knows is necessary to bring the war to an end.

Recently, he has allied with the Human Resistance in an effort to simply survive; trading skills and knowledge for the fuel and repairs the humans can offer. However, the longer he spends with these humans, the more he can admire their strengths, their teamwork, and the fact that they are willing to do whatever is necessary to take their planet back.

Dan McBride
(created by Lex)

A practical, serious young man with a stubbornly sensible streak. Like his girlfriend, Julie, he once lived and studied in Portland, but together they fled the city in the face of impending Autobot attacks. They're now travelling across America in a rented trailer, determined to reach the East Coast and live with Dan's parents in Maine. Somewhat unsurprisingly, this was Julie's idea; although Dan is very good at planning and details, he lacks her careless drive and is not the sort to totally uproot his life and throw it into the wind. Dan is careful, straightforward, and cautious, and constantly finds himself acting as the voice of sense and reason; although the unexpected can badly rattle him, he's always dependable in a pinch. Before fleeing Portland he was studying to be a police officer.

Deuce
(created by Lex)

Like his new partner, Ace, Deuce was forced to leave Cybertron after several of his nastier articles landed him in trouble with both the Autobots and the Decepticons. Unlike his friend, however, Deuce used his time off to go on a tour of the galaxy, taking great care to visit the parts of it that serve mind-warping chemicals to unparticular patrons. As a result he can now blend seamlessly into almost any culture he comes into contact with, apparently without effort. Smooth as glass and unflincingly insincere, Deuce is a fast-talking double dealer with lingo to spare and a hair-trigger temper - but beneath his sardonic nature and impatient, Wall Street trader attitude he really is a bit of a softy at heart. When he writes, however, he's all business. If Ace's style is serious social-political commentary, then Deuce is pure gonzo. Armed with nothing but his wit and spectacular flying skills.

Defcon

Once a sub-par Autobot warrior who managed to coast to an officer’s position mostly on the merits of connections and bribery, Defcon was drummed out of the military after a night of debauchery caused him to miss a call to battle the next morning. Fallen from grace (well, fallen from mediocrity), Defcon stuck to what he was good at – getting drunk and basically being a waste of good scrap and energon. He’s since made a living by hunting those slightly more pathetic than himself. Unfortunately, a recent injury in the line of duty necessitated an overhaul of his fuel consumption systems. The upgraded fuel filters are much more efficient – and tragically, this means that it takes a lot more for him to get drunk. So, he’s been forced to begin hunting the higher-priced, more dangerous bounties. The unthinkable alternative is to stay sober.

Dart
(created by Korat)

A Decepticon courier; rumor around base is that she's the result of a damaged personality download, that thousands of years of exposure to the elements somewhere on Earth left behind a barely reasoning, feral creature that speaks in broken sentences punctuated with growls and barks and yips, as if she is a canine given speech. Starscream worked to help her regain herself, but even he finally had to admit that the experiment was not one that promised a happy ending. After much heartfelt and horrible debating, he decided that the correct thing for the welfare of all concerned was to reverse the download and store her once again. Before he could do so, Dart vanished with the Neutral known as Bandit.

Recent events have led the Decepticons to realize that she has joined forces with the renegade Autobot, Bluestreak, and seems to have transferred her loyalty completely to him. Dart is very protective of her human allies, and has a soft spot for Chip Chase. Those who take the time to speak to her realize that underneath her animal facade lurks a fairly naive soul, one that seems strangely out of balance with many of her actions...

Irradia
(created by Starchaser)

Note: For Irradia's pre-"Invocation" profile, click here

Acknowledged Consort to the powerful Lord Regent Ultra Magnus, Irradia has reclaimed her place as one of the most powerful people in the Autobot Empire. As a Neutral, she answers only to Ultra Magnus as her bonded mate. As a result of both her status and her lack of sigil, she has a number of enemies, both within the Empire and beyond.

As an engineer, Irradia's skills are impressive. While she is now more likely to serve the Empire in a diplomatic capacity, she still retains a keen grasp of medical and engineering theory. As Lord Magnus's Consort, she often tours the Empire, ensuring proper fealty in the subject star systems. Of the eleven star systems under Imperial control, A. Nathis is her favourite.

Julie Dawson
(created by Lex)

Cool and unflappable, Julie isn't easily phased by much. She has a careless, irresponsible streak to her nature and is a touch thoughtless on the side, but to her credit she is very patient, maintains a dry sense of humour to buoy her through the worst of times, and avoids getting into trouble by simply generating a general disinterest in the problems of others. She is not very inclined to shows of emotion, and often seems preyed upon by a quiet, restless urge to travel and explore, and then move on. She's definitely more experienced and worldweary than her partner, and even in university she drifted from one subject to another without forming an interest to settle down to one career. Was last studying English, and has admitted to an interest in writing.
