Optimus Prime

The cruel, tyrannical warlord at the helm of the oppressive Autobot Empire. He's paranoid, suspicious of absolutely everyone, belligerent, way too fond of his gun, and he exudes an air of raw, "Don't mess with me" power. He rules the Autobots with an iron fist, and most will cower in submissive postures in his presence. And, perhaps because the Autobots fear him, he is generally hated by all. Yet, because of his power, the other Autobots must respect him, as well. He is the very embodiment of absolutely-corrupted absolute power.

Orion Pax

As an Autobot, a descendant of the aggressors of the second Cybertronian Wars, Orion Pax feels like a second class citizen. He is a lowly dock worker at an energon storage facility, and dreams of a time when Autobots will be restored to their rightful place as the rulers of Cybertron – and then the universe. He is locally renowned for his brute strength, and often the butt of jokes for the slow workings of his mind. Despite an external acceptance of the taunts, inwardly his brutish mind burns with hate. At night, the stars sing to him of glory, and he knows that someday Cybertron will tremble at the name of Orion Pax.

Overdrive

Suave, sophisticated covert strategist. Carries himself with an air of confidence that borders on arrogance. But this arrogance is much deserved. He excels at developing battle plans revolving around stealth attacks implemented in a larger attack scheme. A master at planting evidence to implicate an enemy in something he was not involved. And an enemy does not have to be a Decepticon. His belief in his own abilities has lead him to take on a sort of mercenary status, selling his skills to the highest bidder. Of course this is something that Autobot command would not be happy with, but Overdrive has no intention of getting caught. Underhanded and intelligent, few have crossed him and survived. But the day may come when he goes too far...

Overhaul
(created by Scopeshot)

A "simple medical technician," in his own words, Overhaul is also an upgrades creator in his spare time. Between an ego the size of a small moon and a vocalizer that doesn't have any settings other than ‘sarcastic' and ‘brag', he is, according to Prowl, "an irritating little Pit-spawned braggart whose ego would crush a black hole." And that's the best that Prowl – or anyone, for that matter – has to say about him.

Perceptor

He's probably the most feared Autobot of all. Even Optimus Prime shudders at the thought of Perceptor. He is ever-polite and ever-cool, yes, but if you're a Decepticon, he's also a sadistic master of scientific, dispassionate torture. He'll wring the truth out of you if it kills you . . . and, in the end, he's quite pleased if it does kill you. And, when not torturing captive Decepticons, Perceptor will gladly experiment on a misbehaving Autobot or two in need of discipline. Between Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Perceptor, the Autobots' repair bay is probably the last place in the universe that any Autobot - or Decepticon - would want to go...

Pointblank

Point Blank is a master at stealth attacks. He has led operations that obliterated Decepticon encampments with barely any resistance. He scoffs at attacks relying on sheer numbers as barbaric and prefers what he calls a "thinking bots' method." Regarding his feud with Chromedome, he is outwardly calm and confident, something that visibly rattles the on-edge Chromedome, but worries about his position as Cerebros prefers relying on using a massive number of troops, as he feels the outcome is more predictable. Point Blank has been trying to convince Cerebros otherwise. In a subtle manner.

Character featured in: The Primrose Path, Wasteland

Powerglide

A lazy whiner is what his fellow Autobots would call him . . . or worse if they're out of audio range. Powerglide never has the greatest of expectations for anything and finds himself getting bored easily - whether he's involved in a simple Earthen card game, or out on the battlefield blowing structures and their inhabitants to bits. He often abandons tasks at hand when he loses interest and wanders off without command, making him a very unreliable fighter. However, he does tend to hold an aura of vanity around himself as he takes his ability of flight and maneuverability with great pride. And when pushed to battle, he can be a very deadly adversary.

Prowl

Optimus Prime's dangerously intelligent, cool, calculating - and devastatingly sexy - second-in-command. Prowl has his finger on the pulse of the entire Autobot Empire. Nothing escapes his notice, down to the finest of details, but he's quite . . . selective . . . about what he'll tell Optimus Prime. He'd much rather keep some information to himself, in order to further his own ambiguous goals. Prowl does, indeed, crave power, but he prefers to be more of a "puppet master," a power behind the throne. Staying out of the limelight, after all, makes one less of a target for would-be usurpers, a lesson he has learned very well, indeed...

Prowl has a very large following of adoring females (and some males, too), whom Optimus scathingly calls his "bimbos." But the only femme in whom Prowl has any possible, real interest is Nightwind, and that's perhaps only because he's highly suspicious of her and wants to keep tabs on her in the most efficient manner possible. . . . It's also possible, however, that it's more than that, for the pair do have very similar ambitions and very similar ways of going about achieving those ambitions.

Character featured in: Angel with Broken Wings, Beyond Enemy Lines, Closer Than They Appear, Shards in the Soul

Ratchet

The Autobots' chief medic . . . though most Autobots would prefer not to have to pay him a visit. Since he's usually drunk and belligerent even in the best of times, he usually does much more harm than good. And he has been known, in the past, to use his patients as experimental subjects . . . often to the detriment of those patients. He has a long-running feud going on with Wheeljack for some unknown reason...

Retrofit
(created by Scopeshot)

Overhaul's assistant, Retrofit shows skill in the dissection and re-assembly of Transformers. He is also very good at creating new Transformer bodies with a skill that is almost intuitive. Retrofit, unlike his superior Overhaul, does not brag about his skill. Rather, he is humble, almost to a fault, making him far more preferable company than Overhaul. Most Autobots actually do not mind Retrofit because he gives them nothing to be bothered about.

Remix
(created by Starchaser)

A captured Decepticon spy cassette, Morpheus spared Remix's life, but in exchange he changed her completely. She is now largely indifferent towards the war, more often used as a courier between Ultra Magnus and the Telepath Guild. She is also Render's handler, a job she despises.

She is unquestionably loyal to the Autobot who spared her life, even above her loyalty to the Empire.

Character featured in: Invocation of Izual

Render
(created by Starchaser)

Created shortly after Remix's capture, Render was designed to be a Guild assassin. Her small size and cassette classification would have made her a valuable spy. While she is quite capable of performing the duties of a spy and assassin, she also possesses an unpredictable bezerker ability, a result of experimentation on her agression subroutines. Only through Remix, as her handler, can she be reliably controlled. The experience, however, tends to be unpleasant for all parties involved.

Rewind

A minor archivist in his spare time, Rewind is more often serving as errand boy for Ultra Magnus. He is also often sent to deliver messages to the warlord, particularly bad news. As a result, Rewind has come to resent the Autobot command staff, privately labeling them cowards for sending him in their place. Only Hot Spot has any credibility in his optics as someone willing to own up to his losses.

Road Rage

When the Throttlebots join together, they form the gestalt Road Rage. As his name implies, Road Rage is very easily angered. When in battle, the objects of his anger are nearly always Decepticons, particularly their gestalts. Once he gets angry enough at a particular target (which usually doesn‘t take long), he focuses all his attention on destroying that target. Anything that gets in his way, be it a building, a Decepticon, or a fellow Autobot, is either knocked aside, crushed, trampled, or otherwise violently dealt with, leaving a literal trail of destruction in his wake. Each obstacle that gets between him and his intended target only increases his anger, often prompting strings of explicatives and curses that accompany his attacks. Some of the things that come out of this Bot’s vocalizer surprise even his fellow Autobots, which should tell you something.

Character featured in: Fairest of Them All

Rollbar

The leader of the Throttlebots and a macho jerk if ever there was one. His favorite style of fighting is to rush headlong into a fight, guns blazing and fists flying while spouting cornball, macho cliches like "Let's show 'em what we're manufactured of, Autobots," or, "When the going gets tough, the tough get driving." More often than not, Rollbar's pronouncements elicit either laughter or groans from his fellow Autobots, which never fails to irk the Throttlebot leader. Anyone who does so within earshot of Rollbar is rewarded with a punch to the face, a knee to the midsection, or some other equally painful rebuttal from the Throttlebot leader. Needless to say, most learn to conceal their feelings about the green Throttlebot's macho attitude while in his vicinity.

Scopeshot

Scopeshot is a cool, precise sniper, gunman extraordinare. Between a penchant for taking oppenent's weapons (whether the weapon is hand held or a part of his opponent doesn't matter) and modifying them for his own use, he keeps a very serious if brazen battlefield demeanor.

That's what he'd like others to see, at any rate. Below the executioner-like Scopeshot lies another voice, another mindset. The smart-alecky, smartmouthed Skystorm still exists, and both mindsets manifest at separate times. Often, Scopeshot talks to himself, aloud. He will speak for both sides of the conversation, and doesn't seem to notice he's talking out loud. Far too often, these turn into arguments between the wisecracking Skystorm persona and the more serious and hateful Scopeshot persona.

Given that his true past is not common knowledge (and never will be, if he has anything to say about it) many still don't understand why Scopeshot hates Prowl. Prowl, on the other hand has no qualms about reminding Scopeshot about his past. . . .

As Team Omega lives to make life tough for each other, Scopeshot must endure Blaster's comments and any physical damage the wiretapper can dish out. Jazz, the only robot to out-wisecrack Scopeshot's Skystorm mindset, also makes life tough with condescending words and a "mean big brother" attitude.

Scopeshot, simply put, is still Skystorm . . . and the fact that Skystorm lies so close beneath Scopeshot's mask makes the secret that much harder to contain.

Searchlight

Searchlight is the Throttlebots' surveillance expert. Often it is his job to make sure their latest target is where he/she/it is supposed to be. He takes his job seriously and does it well. When not working, he can be a real party animal. He gets along well with his fellow Throttlebots, always ready to share the latest joke or any rumors he may have heard over a cube of high-grade energon. When not working or partying, he likes to explore whatever planet he's on, scoping out the back alleys and side streets to see what he can find. "After all," he says with a snicker, "if Warpath has anything to do with it, they might not be there tomorrow."

Seaspray

A vicious, scheming minibot that takes his job as naval officer a little too seriously. He believes himself to be a pirate . . . a land pirate. He hates marine life and water in general (although the other Autobots would retort that he's just afraid of it) and would prefer nothing more than to stay in robot mode unless the situation dictates otherwise. He has a tendency to become seasick once he does get into the water. This, as well as the fact that he's afraid of the domain he rules and behaves like a earthen sea thief, gains him snickers and jests from his fellow Autobots and gives them the impression that he's loopy, when in fact . . . he is! Which makes it easier for him while he's working his secret motives, of course.

Sideswipe

Dealing with Sideswipe is, at best, a two-edged sword. The majority of the Ark's warriors are happy to leave him to his own devices, wary of his anger despite his nearly constant cheerful demeanor. Rumors persist that this warrior is little better than a psychopath, or at best a schizophrenic, but his value to the Empire is unquestioned.

A very select few have earned something like friendship from Sideswipe, and his protection. Still, few would choose to spend much off time with him, particularly when his darker moods set in.

Optimus Prime believes Sideswipe's loyalty to him is absolute and unwavering. He would be wrong...

Silverbolt

To Silverbolt’s mind, the Aerialbots are the purest form of Transformer in existence. He knows of no other faction who was created directly by Vector Sigma, and as a first generation spark of Vector Sigma itself, Silverbolt feels that he and his Aerialbots are a race set apart, like angels treading among mortals. True, he has heard the rumor that the Stunticons were also generated by Vector Sigma, but he can hardly imagine that something without wings would have such a glorious origin, and though he hates the Stunticons passionately, he refuses to even consider that they might have the same distinction as the Pure Aerialbot Elite.

He feels little different about the Autobots, and only the Aerialbots’ current situation of dependence on the Autobots for supplies keeps Silverbolt from taking his team and striking out on his own. He absolutely abhors anything that cannot fly, and he shudders at the mere thought of having to live in the dim, underground passageways of the Ark, as he is completely consumed by claustrophobia. Enraged over his own disease, as well as having to bow and scrape to ‘the lord of the dirt-crawlers’, as he terms Optimus Prime, he is often forced to find a way to vent his anger before he loses control. Usually his target is Air Raid, who irritates him more than any other Aerialbot for reasons he doesn’t quite understand, and he often finds that in his blind rage, he has beaten the smaller Aerialbot unconscious. He hasn’t killed him yet, and secretly hopes he never does, since there is something cathartic about hurting him. And of course, all of this keeps him too busy to really give Skydive much notice.
