Air Raid

Air Raid is addicted to speed. Literally. Unable to find enough thrill in moving at a mere mach 2.5, he has resorted to taking chemically-infused form of energon that not only boosts his speed capabilities for short bursts, but also speeds up all of his systems, to the point that he seems to be moving in fast-forward. If he’s forced to sit still, he jitters, both legs moving up and down and clattering against the metal chair and floor, fingers drumming at lightning speed on the arm-rest, until Silverbolt becomes annoyed enough to beat him into a senseless state. Due to the chemicals, his reflexes are approximately five times as fast as a normal Transformer’s, and paired with his impulsive temper, he has become someone that nobody wants to sneak up on. He is savage to the point of being half-feral, mostly due to the chemicals’ effects on his processor, and he respects only pain, which Silverbolt is only too happy to dish out. Of course, he also respects Fireflight, who is always ready with his next dose before the torturous withdrawl sets in, provided Air Raid remains perfectly obedient. Which he does not always do. . . .

Alpha Trion

At one time respected as one of the main leaders of the Rebellion that resulted in the near-extinction of the Quintessons. After vorns of patient waiting and plotting, he was lurking in the shadows when Sentinel Prime was defeated. Immediately snatching up his prize from Sentinel Prime's smoking body after a leadership dispute that left both parties deceased, he and the Matrix disappeared into the vast, lonely corridors of Cybertron for vorns. In the chest of the aging Autobot, the Matrix fumed at the unsuitability of its current host, literally twisting and distorting Alpha Trion's physical frame until the aged Autobot was a bent over wretched thing that survived on cunning and stolen energon. When he was finally abandoned by the Matrix for a new host, Alpha Trion was left a wrecked shade of his former self, forced to serve the being who had usurped his place, the Lord Optimus Prime.

Arcee

A smug, prissy, attitudinal bitch. She holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander of Autobot City, and likes nothing better than to rub other's noses in it. Enjoys holding subordinates to impossible standards, then punishing them when these standards aren't met. Loves to see others suffer, though she prefers not to "get her hands dirty" herself. Has a particular detestation for Springer.

Character featured in: Invocation of Izual, Joker, and Closer Than They Appear

Backstreet

Backstreet, like most Autobots, loves to fight. However his role as a lookout leaves him with little chance to engage in actual combat, a fact that continually grates on Backstreet. Due to his mainly non-combat role, Backstreet gets little respect from his fellow Autobots, and thus he will use even the flimsiest excuse to go into battle, both to increase that respect and to satisfy his own desire for combat. Other than his lust for combat, Backstreet is a relatively calm and collected mech who holds up well under pressure, which is most likely why he was assigned duties as a lookout. However, Backstreet’s lust for action sometimes leads him to make rash decisions, decisions that could someday land him in serious trouble...

Beachcomber

Head of Autobot City's security forces. However, he's often AWOL from his duties while indulging his favorite pastime; namely, the wanton destruction of Earth's landscape. In his twisted psyche, Beachcomber is convinced that his actions are for some "cosmic" greater good. He'll launch into vague philosophical ramblings at the slightest opportunity, so most Autobots avoid talking to him altogether. Speaks like the TF equivalent of a hippie/dope fiend.

Character prominently featured in: Open Fire, Les Miserables

Blades

Once nothing more than a common street fighter, under the sponsorship of Hot Spot, Blades has grown into a vicious warrior, utterly loyal to the Mech who saved his life . . . and to Ultra Magnus by extension. He would like nothing better than to see every last renegade crushed for daring to oppose the Empire. His temper is his greatest weakness; Blades is easily provoked into fights he cannot hope to win.

Blaster

Blaster is the middle member of Team Omega. A wiretapper and communications expert by trade, he also makes a nasty combatant. He is a longtime rival of Jazz’s since their early days. He also really doesn’t think much of Scopeshot, considering him a minor annoyance at best.

Blaster and Jazz are serious rivals, and are also just as deadly. Where Jazz is a cunning agent, Blaster is the expert electronic warfare and breaks down his opponents’ lines of communication. He is a cruel, heartless warrior, disabling foes with either an electroscrambler blast or overloading their audios with horrible levels of white noise. He takes great glee in fighting hand to hand and dealing damage personally. He speaks in almost musical rhymes, but they are not at all friendly. He, like Jazz, does not care to really fight, prefering to traffic in the profitable data brokering and music pirating business. Jazz and Scopeshot know but don’t rat him out because he gives them a small cut for ‘protection’ from discovery by others. It is suspected that he commands an enormous electronic underground of hackers.

Blaster really doesn’t care about much other Autobots, agreeing to a job just so he can get all the more information and connections . . . devious and ruthless in dealings with those who want information. . . .

Bluestreak

(Profile prior to "Shards in the Soul." For Blue's current profile, click here.)

The lone survivor of the destruction of his city by Decepticon "freedom fighters", Bluestreak joined the Autobot forces for revenge upon those he felt were responsible. The massacre left him with constant, horrible flashbacks that at times cause him to lock up in terror. He's a nervous, high strung mess at times, and the only way it helps to quell them, he's found, is to talk to himself incessantly - even if there's no one around to hear him. There's a running bet at Autobot headquarters between Prowl and Nightwind as to when Hound will rip Bluestreak's head from his shoulders.

Once a purely recreational target shooter, Bluestreak rose in the Autobot ranks rather quickly to become a deadly, efficient sniper. He takes pride in the fact that the Decepticons he targets know a shadow of his own terror and pain before they die. However, there's a little secret that Bluestreak doesn't know about his past...

And this misinformation may lead to his downfall. . . .

Character featured in: Shards in the Soul

Blurr

Blurr loves his job as Imperial camp boss, but hates the tediousness of disciplining the inmates. As a result, any infraction of his rules may be reason enough to be sent to the arena. Unlike his predecessor, however, Blurr keeps the rules simple and relatively easy to follow. Blurr is almost universally disliked by his fellow Autobots and they are often the victims of his scorn. The prisoners in his care, however, are usually treated with some measure of kindness.

Brawn

Brawn embodies strength. Though smaller than most Transformers, his mass and circuit density translate to incredible physical strength. He looks down on those that are not strong as inferior, and only respects those that hold may prove his equal or better in battle (which isn’t many, in his opinion). He believes so strongly in his power that he often leaves behind is laser pistol, thinking that it would do him little good on the battlefield. Combined with his above average agility, he does make a devastating force in battle. However, he is not very intelligent and can be easily goaded into a fight where he is outmatched. Especially when his opponent does not have an aversion to energy weapons.

Brainstorm

Depraved and completely without remorse, Brainstorm loves nothing more than to inflict pain on a subject. Usually, it is the Decepticons who are the brunt of his torture, but he is not adverse to taking an Autobot if an idea strikes him, something to which Highbrow can attest. He has been known to cause injury to himself to better understand what the victim feels. He excels at finding novel methods of extracting information while keeping a victim in a lucid state of mind. Goes at each task with youthful exuberance and will openly pout if his plans go awry.

Brigade
(created by Paradox)

The Commander in Chief of the Lair's Security Division three million years ago, he organized rebel factions underground before the reemergence of the Matrix, convinced that the Decepticons were smothing their Autobot heritage and trying to sway them over to the side of 'good'. An older Autobot, he is the calm, cool, and collected type, his role in the war dating back to before even Optimus Prime was born. He is a proud warrior, and one who values his honor and dignity as an Autobot very highly. Brigade leapt to the front lines when Optimus Prime declared open war on the peace-loving Decepticons, though because of his age, his value in the ranks began to decrease over time, regardless of the battle strategies he devised and lead, often with great success.

Brigade is one of the few stable Autobots, and probably the only one who will generally respect Humans for their courage, no matter how futile it is. His tolerance is often amazing in comparison to others of his faction, but he is also notorious for being ruthless and heartless in the heat of battle.

Bumblebee

The MirrorVerse Bumblebee retains certain of his "normal" characteristics, including excelling as a scout and high fuel efficiency. He has a tendency to find younger humans "cute" and on finding Spike determines to make him a pet. At the completion of each mission Bumblebee has no qualms about killing the human rebels he sets up, although he does not tend to revel in gore as much as some of his fellow Bots. He is considered weird for his attatchment to his human pet, but is tolerated because no one else wants his job. He tends to overestimate the importance of his contribution to the Autobots, while other Autobots (mistakenly!) dismiss the human threat.

Camshaft

When Overdrive looks at Camshaft, he sees a loyal toady who is eager to fulfill his duties as a scout for Overdrive's various strategies. He is inordinately gifted with technology. He is able to whip up various devices in short order and with little direction, a skill that Overdrive finds very useful. However, Camshaft's real function is to serve as a spy, placed under Overdrive's direction when the strategist came under investigation for attacks against fellow Autobots. Autobot Command no longer suspects anything, but Camshaft remained anyway. He knows there's more to Overdrive than he shows. Thus far, he hasn't found a thing, something that continually frustrates this perfectionist. And secretly amuses Overdrive.

Catilla

Ever a hunter, Catilla has mastered the art of stealth and stalking to the point where he often knows when and where his kill will occur and occasionally invites a small group of spectators. He began innocently enough—the hunt was all that mattered to him, and he used to stalk the famous, the private, the well guarded, never letting his prey know they had been vulnerable for just that moment when the chase was up. All he cared about was proving to himself he could do it; it was entirely the thrill of the chase, and the less the hunted knew they were such, the better he liked it. He never counted coup. But something happened one day...Catilla became a proud and accomplished killer seemingly overnight. Some whisper that his saber-toothed alt mode infected his mind. He is tenacious and hard to shake once the hunt has begun, but he is not cruel, preferring a quick, clean kill—he is quite fastidious. Nevertheless, many view him as a beast through and through, as he often consumes his kills.

Cerebros

Cerebros began his career on Cybertron as a little known warlord in lightly populated region of southern Cybertron. He quickly made a name for himself in a surprise play for power in Ultra Magnus' regime upon Optimus Prime's disappearance four million years ago. He proved an tactically effective leader but incredibly selfish, looking for personal glory over that of the Autobot cause. As his reputation grew, so did his feeling of invincibility. After a humbling defeat to Magnus in an attempted coup, Cerebros pulled his troops and began searching for a world to conquer and rule as his own, vying his time for another attempt at the leadership. He shows little admiration for his troops and purposefully pits Chromedome and Point Blank against one another for a laugh.

Chase

Chase is a patient mech who likes to wait in ambush for his victims, wait for just the right moment, then transform to his car mode and run down the unfortunate robot. Because of his great speed in car mode, his foes rarely have a chance to escape. Chase is an excellent scout, and he knows it. He also makes sure everyone else knows it as well. Chase brags incessantly about his accomplishments, which never fails to get on the nerves of whoever has to listen.

Character featured in: Fairest of Them All

Chromedome

One of Cerebros' top lieutenants, Chromedome is a merciless fighter. He is an excellent field general but lacks in subtlety, believing that all-out attacks subjugate the morale of the enemy. He looks down on the Decepticons more than he does organic lifeforms as he feels that the Decepticons are throwing away the power their evolution has granted them. He has a continuing feud with Point Blank, Cerebros' other lieutenant, as to whose method of leadership, Chromedome's all-out attack style or Point Blank's stealthful approach, is best in their cause.

Cloudraker

Cloudraker is the clone brother to Fastlane. He is a superior flyer and revels in the fact that this trait makes him rather unique among the Autobots. He enjoys swooping low over Autobot vehicles, particularly Fastlane, and level them with a barrage of mocking laughter as they drive along the ground. Though on the immature side, he is a complete professional in the field. Like Fastlane, he is an excellent scout and tracker. Despite the feud over their recon abilities, he is very protective of Fastlane, who is younger by just a fraction of a second.

Cliffjumper

This bright red Autobot loves the battlefield and takes pleasure in the screams of torment of his victims. A bully at heart, the majority of his victims on Earth are humans. He gets along quite well with Warpath and other violent Autobots. He follows Optimus Prime with blind devotion and is dedicated to the expansion of the Empire. Otherwise, he loves to party and is often found in the Rec Room of Autobot Headquarters.

Code Red
(created by Scopeshot)

A mysterious, almost silent Autobot, a skilled simulation creator and programmer. He creates security systems that are almost sentient. Code Red is also skilled at reading other Transformer's sensory memories though a special hookup he designed for use in prisoner recharge berths.

He also works with Smokescreen in the interrogation and information retrieval department. Between these two, there is little a captive can do to keep them from finding out what the victims know. . . .

Cosmos

A sadistic practical joker if you ever did see one. He loves to play tricks on others, whether they be his enemy or his fellow Autobots. But he knows his limits and highly respects his commanding officers, especially Optimus Prime, following his leader around for a chance to please him. This is why the Autobot commander tends to send Cosmos on mission of secrecy; a tattletale for anything that goes awry among his troops. It is possible that Prime just sends him to get the minibot out of his way.

Whatever the situation may be, Cosmos relishes in his role as the "jailhouse watchdog" and uses it to his own advantage, taunting and tricking others to tickle his own twisted humor circuits. However, most of his sadistic behavior is said to be caused by the anger and loneliness he suppresses when he is forced to go on long orbits in space.

As the Autobot in charge of Decepticon internment camps, he delights in finding ways to humiliate the enemy. Among his favorite methods is tricking a new prisoner into thinking that he found a weakness in the defense before catching the prisoner in the act and punishing the attempted escape. Does not like being removed from his primary duties to enter the field of battle because he "doesn't like others playing with his toys." He is an excellent scout and saboteur.

Downshift

Quiet and aloof, Downshift rarely speaks unless he has to. And when he does, it is often a series of monosyllabic grunts. Unhappy as an Autobot, but sees little reason to express this. He simply lets it stew inside him. His tendency to bottle up emotions and misgivings has a nasty side effect. When he reaches his breaking point, he viciously lashes out at the closest Transformer he can find, whether it is an Autobot or a Decepticon. It really doesn't matter to him.
